About Me
I've been licensed since
2001 and took the "PZT" from my late Father's G6PZT callsign.
I'm a member of the the
G0VHF/P contest
group and regularly take part in VHF/UHF contests at various
locations across Essex - at home, my main interests are
40m, 15m and 6m.
I also write software in Delphi and Visual Basic - am experienced with broadcast audio and sound engineering: rack wiring, processors, audio circuits, op-amps
etc. Recent additions to the PZT bow include: PIC projects,
assembler language, PHP, JavaScript etc...
For fun, I enjoy cycling when the weather
is good!
In a past life,
I was a radio presenter - I started out
as a volunteer at
Hospital Radio Chelmsford
back in 1999 - From there, I progressed to assisting
Saint FM
in Burnham-on-Crouch with their first RSL in 1999 - and then
made the transition to "proper" radio, appearing on
Big L,
KL FM
and other local radio stations.
